Software-Update

Updates are used to keep CEECOACH functions current and up to date. Its recommended to have the same software version on all your devices. You have the choice between the German (Version/DE) and the English version (Version/US). For updating CEECOACH you need the installer and the respective update file, the latest version is 02.02. Before you start the update pleace read the detailed guide (PDF, 391 KB) carefully.

Here is how it works:

  • Download and install CEECOACH Update-Software according to the guide (one-time)
  • Download the current CEECOACH-Software
  • In case you see this notice “Windows protected your PC” please click on “more info” and “run anyway” to start the installation process
  • Using EDGE can cause problems. If you experience this, please use another browser (e.g. Chrome)
  • Plug CEECOACH into your PC and start the update program

Frequently asked questions

Generally, you should check if your CEECOACH is equipped with the latest software status when detecting any problems with your device. If you have not downloaded the update program yet, please follow the above instructions.

How can I use both, CEECOACH 1 und CEECOACH 2, together in the same communication group?

If you want to use both, CEECOACH 1 and CEECOACH 2, together in the same communication group, please update all devices to at least software version v02.02. It is recommended to have the same device software version on all your devices. The latest device software version is available for free downloading on our website.

How can I pair my Bluetooth headset with CEECOACH 2?

Turn on your headset and put it into pairing mode (if applicable, please read the headset manual). Activate pairing mode on CEECOACH 2. CEECOACH 2 is now searching for a headset (approx. 60 seconds). Note: CEECOACH 2 is only searching for a headset when no other headset is currently connected. If you would like to connect another headset, please first turn the connected headset off.

My CEECOACH 2 is not able to find a Bluetooth headset.

Please be sure your Bluetooth headset is in pairing mode. Please check if your CEECOACH 2 is already connected to another Bluetooth headset. CEECOACH 2 is only searching for a headset when no other headset is currently connected. If you would like to connect another headset, please first turn the connected headset off.

(Optional: You can check if your CEECOACH 2 is already connected to a Bluetooth headset by pressing once the plus button on CEECOACH 2. Hearing volume changing tone on your cable headset means no Bluetooth headset is connected.)

How can I pair both, my smartphone and my Bluetooth headset, with CEECOACH 2?

If you would like to connect both, a smartphone and a headset, please pair your devices one after another. The pairing order does not matter: you can pair first your smartphone and then you Bluetooth headset or conversely.

My Bluetooth headset does not connect to CEECOACH 2 after being turned on.

If you turn off and on your Bluetooth headset, CEECOACH 2 will not establish a connection to a headset. Most headsets establish a connection to the last paired device if turned on. Note: If your paired headset does not connect to CEECOACH 2, you can establish a connection from CEECOACH 2 by short pressing plus (+) and minus (-) buttons.

How can I control my CEECOACH 2 via Bluetooth headset button?

Most Bluetooth headsets have a button (if applicable, please read the headset manual), that can be used to control the connected CEECOACH 2. You can use the button for the following actions:

  • Activate and deactivate the participant mode.
  • Accept an incoming call or terminate an active call.

There is no audio output on Bluetooth headset if the distance between me and my communication partner is larger than some meters.

Maybe your Bluetooth headsets are mixed up. Please be sure you are using the headset connected to your CEECOACH 2. You can easily check if you use the right headset by pressing once the plus button on CEECOACH 2. If don’t hear volume changing tone on your Bluetooth headset, then this Bluetooth headset is connected to another CEECOACH 2. Tip: You can prevent mixing up headset by putting coloured markers on it.

I can’t control my CEECOACH anymore. The buttons are not working.

If your CEECOACH is blinking violet, then CEECOACH buttons are locked. For unlocking the buttons please press short the speech button (o) three times.

How can I lock or unlock CEECOACH buttons?

You can lock or unlock CEECOACH buttons by pressing the speech button (o) shortly for three times.

How can I activate pairing mode on CEECOACH?

You can activate pairing mode on CEECOACH by pressing plus (+) and minus (-) buttons simultaneously until CEECOACH is rapidly blinking yellow.

How can I deactivate (leave) pairing mode on CEECOACH?

After successful pairing of either a smartphone or a headset, CEECOACH 2 will leave pairing mode.

How can I pair my smartphone with CEECOACH?

Activate pairing mode on CEECOACH. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone and start searching for Bluetooth devices. CEECOACH is displayed as “CEECOACHxxxx” including the last four digits of the serial number, found on the back side of the device. Select your CEECOACH to establish a connection.

Adding devices to a previously paired communication circle does not work.

If a communication circle was formed, the settings are saved and remain when powering on again. To add more devices you have to build a whole new communication circle. To do so reset the previously paired ones first by pressing all three buttons simultaneously. Now start the role assignment of all devices you want to pair.

Not all devices I wanted to pair have connected to each other.

Please conduct a reset of all devices (press all three buttons simultaneously).
First assign all participant roles and then assign the moderator role. Otherwise a timeout can occur and no more devices are recognized.

How can I mute the participant (when just two devices used)?

If just two devices are used, the participant mode is active automatically which means both moderator and participant can talk. To mute the participant the moderator presses the talk button twice.

My CEECOACH blinks red instead of yellow when charging.

Your device was completely discharged (deep discharge). You can charge your CEECOACH regularly, but possibly previous settings are deleted.

Although charged for hours my CEECOACH still blinks yellow.

Sometimes there is a small bug that prevents the LED from switching to green, because it does not detect the battery charge level correctly. However, if you unlug it and plug it in again it should turn green. Further, the audio prompts announce the correct battery charge level.

Can I listen to music with my CEECOACH?

We are sorry, but at the moment just telephone calls are supported by the current software.

Can I connect a loudspeaker to a CEECOACH device to let an audience hear what is said?

Yes, you can connect an self-powered loudspeaker with one CEECOACH device. This device has to be part of your communication group (paired with the other used devices).
Connect the self-powered speaker with the 3.5mm jack plug. Position the device with the loudspeaker near the audience to let them hear what is said.

FAQs XTREME Edition

What does IP 67 mean?

Protection standards are liable to DIN Norms and always start with IP (International Protection or Ingress Protection). The first digit indicates the level of protection that the enclosure provides against access to hazardous parts and the ingress of solid foreign objects whereby “6” indicates “dust tight”. The second digit indicates the level of protection that the enclosure provides against harmful ingress of water whereby the “7” indicates “protected against ingress of water” (max. 30min at 1m below the surface).

Can I use the CEECOACH XTREME for diving?

No, communication under water does not work with CEECOACH (Bluetooth Technology).

Can I use another headset with the CEECOACH XTREME?

Yes, you can use any other headset with a standard 3.5mm jack plug. For using it at water sports or in extreme conditions the headset should be water-resistant.

In which colors is the XTREME version available?

The XTREME Edition is delivered with the CEECOACH in silver. The protection cover is available in a sporty yellow color.

Is the XTREME protection cover available as accessory?

No, the XTREME cover is available with the XTREME Edition set only.

Why does the XTREME Edition not function with a Mono Headset?

The CEECOACH XTREME is programmed to work with the Jabra Stereo-Headset. If you use a mono headset you can experience acustic feedback. In this case please configurate your headset via the Update program for your mono headset. A manual how to do this is provided under software update on www.ceecoach.de
